We generally categorize life as a quality. That is a thing has it and is alive or doesn’t have it and is dead or non-living. Suppose life is not a quality but a quantity.
Coming To Terms
Our own language can trip us up. Sometimes a word or phrase may simply be unknown to us. Sometimes we can sort out the meaning of a word from the context, but it’s safer and easier just to start out with some definitions. That way everything’s clear in the beginning.
